As the new decade started 2001 was a great year for me personally new girlfriend, job and a house we moved into in August of that year that was some eight months!
I remember the first week of September England beat Germany in Berlin 5-1 we had a double celebration that night as my best friend’s wife had given birth to his first son.
I found some odd graffiti on in my work place it said “I’m so Happy” I responded underneath “so am I!”
You hear the phrase “a life changing event” many times before and on 9/11 I had actually seen one.
The near misses, wars, other atrocities both terrorist and state sponsored, with new footage on each anniversary which continues to unnerve me in my quieter moments.
As I walked home from a paralysed London with thousands of others in July 2007 my thoughts went back to that day again, the world really has not been the same since.............
